Why? 教师与学生简单地沟通一下之后，便可以让学生开始热身讨论活动。 这三个问题可由教师带领学生先读几遍。第一问可给出一些职业名称，如 computer programmer，supervisor，manager，cook，salesman，saleswoman，kindergarten teacher，driver，secretary，waiter，waitress，HR，要求学生一问一答并交换角色。学生练习后，教师可重点对 supervisor、HR 作出解释，带领学生大声读几遍。 2．第二问：教师先用英语向学生解释 advantage、strong points, 如果学生仍不懂，则可以告诉中文解释。然后，让学生分两人一组讨论，互相找出对方的优点，并写出表示优点的形容词，如 kind，polite，easygoing，friendly，hardworking，creative 等。讨论学习完毕，要求学生用句子来赞扬对方，如：You are kind, polite, easygoing, friendly, hardworking and creative. 3．第三问：What should you do in order to start the first job? 教师启发学生从以下几个方面思考：守时、着装、行为举止等。同时，鼓励学生畅所欲言，教师给予适当的帮助和补充。如： 1) dress professionally； 2) be sure you’ve got a clear understanding of what’s expected. If you’re not completely sure about a task, ask. It’s better to ask a question and be cautious than to do it wrong; 3) Before you run to the boss with a problem, always try to find a solution on your own.
