该句为what引导的感叹句。在英语中,感叹句由what或how来引导,常用结构如下:
①What+a/an+形容词+单数可数名词(+主语+谓语)!
②What+形容词+复数名词/不可数名词(+主语+谓语)!
③How+形容词/副词(+主语+谓语)!
【注意】what引导的感叹句和how引导的感叹句可以相互转换。
用what,what a(n)或how填空
① What a good girl Mary is!
②It's raining again. What bad weather!
③ How fast Bob runs!Nobody can catch up with him.
2.Because he is too tired to move.因为他太累了以至于不能走了。
too…to…意为“太……(以至于)不能……”。too后接形容词或副词,to后接动词原形。
【注意】 too… to…结构可用not…enough to句式来改写。enough前的形容词或副词应是too后面形容词或副词的反义词。
①Ron is too young to go (go)to school.
②Lily isn't old enough to do the work.
= Lily is too young to do the work.
3. offer的用法
(1)作动词,意为“提议;提出”。常用结构offer to do sth.意为“主动提出做某事”。
(2)作动词,意为“提供;给予”,常用结构offer sb.sth.或 offer sth.to sb.意为“主动提供某物给某人”。
Clark offered to drive (drive)us to the airport,but we preferred to take the underground.
