Unit 6 I'm going to study computer science. Period 1(from 1a-1c) 衡水市第九中学 巩素梅 一．1.概述：本课是以谈论未来职业(What do you want to be when you grow up?) 和如何实现(How are you going to do that?)为主要内容。该内容贴近学生的生活，具有实用性，容易激发学生的学习兴趣，也容易创设“学中用，用中学” 的情境。本班学生48人，学习英语的兴趣比较浓厚。八年级的学生已经具有了 一定的学习单词和用英语交际的能力，通过老师的引导和小组合作学习，能够实现本课的学习目标。 2.教学资源：多媒体、PPT课 3.教学情境：创设真实的教学情境，结合当前创建文明城市和学生自己的梦想职业实现语言目标的运用。 4.教学模式：教师引导启发，学生积极参与，学生小组合作与探究学习。 5.教学方法：通过guessing games, pairwork, groupwork和make a survey 来实现教学目标。 二．教学过程： Ⅰ.Teaching aims: 1. Knowledge and ability objects a. Master the words and expressions of this lesson. cook，doctor，engineer，violinist，driver，pilot, pianist，scientist； grow up，computer programmer b. Target language: What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a basketball player. How are you going to do that? I’m going to practice basketball every day. 2. Moral objects a. Learn how to talk about future intentions. b. By talking about future intentions, students can make sure what their dream jobs are and they will try their best to make them come true. Ⅱ.Teaching importance and difficulties: Importance: 1. Vocabulary: cook，doctor，engineer，violinist，driver，pilot, pianist，scientist；grow up，computer programmer 2. Sentences: What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a computer programmer. How are you going to do that? I’m going to study computer science. Difficulties: How to talk about future intentions. Ⅲ. Teaching procedures: Step1.
