Lesson 2 Special Occasions主要包含两段听力材料：第一段的长对话以访谈的形式介绍了参加英国派对的衣着、带礼物、交谈方面的具体建议；第二部分由三个文段组成，分别是升学庆祝派对上的对话、毕业典礼上学生代表发言开头及其发言结束后介绍父母与老师认识的对话。本课在单元主题下着重关注学生跨文化交际中的礼仪问题，帮助学生在不同特殊场合下语言和行为得体，包括如何表示庆祝与感谢。

By the end of this section, students will be able to:

1. talk about special occasions and appropriate behaviour for them;

2. grasp a skill related to listening for specific information;

3. get specific information from an interview and several conversations by using the listening skill;

4. learn about and practise congratulating and giving thanks;

5. prepare and present a short speech for a graduation ceremony using appropriate stress and intonation.

Step 1 Lead-in

1. 引导学生思考如下问题，谈谈自己参加的特殊场合及其相关礼仪。

    What is the appropriate behaviour in these occasions?

2. 让学生完成活动1，结合自身知识，思考在英国参加婚礼或好朋友的生日会需要准备的东西以及考虑的事。

    What do you need to prepare and what do you need to take into consideration?

Step 2 Pre-listening

1. 让学生阅读Skill Builder的内容，掌握听细节的听力技巧。

    What should we do before listening?

    What should we do the first time we listen?

    What should we do the second time we listen?

2. 引导学生在听前浏览Party advice里的信息，预测所填信息。
