弗里吉向世界问好
Do
you
know
the
mascots(吉
祥 物)
of
the
Paris
2024
Olympics
and
Paralympics?
These
French
symbols
have
different
and
unique
meanings.
On
November
14,2022,
the
Paris
2024
Olympics
and
Paralympics
unveiled
their
official
mascots—the
Phryges.
The
Phryges
are
smal
cone-shaped(锥形
的)
caps.
1
They
also
have
the
golden
“Paris
2024”
logo
across
their
chests(胸部).
The
two
mascots
share
the
motto
of
“Alone
we
go
faster,
but
together
we
go
further”.
The
difference
between
the
two
mascots
is
that
the
Paralympic
mascot
wears
a
prosthetic
(义肢的)
leg.
2
With
the
prosthetic
leg,
the
Paralympic
Phryge
can
“run
at
lightning
speed”,
according
to
the
official
website
of
the
Paris
2024
Olympics
and
Paralympics.
The
design
of
the
Phryges
drew
its
idea
from
smal
Phrygian
caps.
3
From
the
building
of
Notre-Dame
Cathedral(巴黎圣母院)
to
the
Eiffel
Tower,
this
cap
could
be
found
in
many
big
events
in
France.
More
specificaly,
its
the
red
bonnet
famously
worn
by
Marianne,
the
artistic
personification(化身)
of
the
French
Republic.
Now
it
has
become
a
symbol
of
revolution(革
命)
and
freedom,
and
of
striving(奋斗)
in
the
country.
Paris
2024
Brand
Director
Julie
Matikhine
said,
“ 4
It
is
an
ideal(理想)
that
carries
the
values
of
our
country,
a
part
of
our
history
and
a
singular
point
of
view
on
the
world.”
As
happens
when
a
national
spirit
combines
with
the
Olympic
spirit,
the
mascots
are
also
being
packaged
into
nearly
10,000
types
of
products.

The
Olympics
wil
be
held
from
July
26
to
August
