词汇精讲 

1.health  n.健康；人的身体(或精神）状态

（1） health是一个表示抽象概念的不可数名词。

e.g.Tom worries about his mother's health.

常用的短语be good/bad for one's health 对某人的健康有利/有害

e.g.Eating fruit and vegetables is good for your health.

（2）形容词形式为 healthy，意为“健康的”。

e.g.We should eat more vegetables to keep healthy.

2. through  prep.以；凭借；穿过

（1）through 作为介词常用作两个含义:

1）凭借(方法或手段)达成；

e.g. We think the best way to relax is through exercise.

 2）(从……内部)穿过。

e.g. The train went through the tunnel(隧道) very quickly.

（2） through 在表示“穿过”时，常与across和over混淆。

through意为“穿过”,指从物体的里面穿过。across 意为“穿过”,指从物体的表面通过。over 意为“越过;跨过”，指越过一个有高度的物体。

3. although conj.虽然；尽管；即使

although为连词，可以引导让步状语从句，相当于though。although 和but都为连词，故不能用在同一个句子之中。

e.g. Although he was tired, he didn't stop to have a rest.

=He was tired, but he didn't stop to have a rest.

however	然而；不过	副词	用于句中，以逗号隔开
but	但是	连词	用于连接两个意思相反或不同的单词、短语或句子

语法（Grammar）

频度副词

1、频度副词的介绍

表示事情发生频率的副词称为频度副词。常用的频度副词有: always (总是)，usually(通常)，often(经常)，sometimes(有时)，hardly ever(几乎不)，never(从不)等。频率排序如下：

e.g. John always comes late.

    He hardly ever exercises.

2、频度副词在句中的位置

频度副词通常放在be动词、情态动词、助动词之后，实义动词之前。有时为了强调，可把频度副词放在句首。

We never eat junk food. (实义动词之前)

Lily is always very busy. (be动词之后)

I can hardly remember a word. (情态动词之后，实义动词之前)

Sometimes the boys play football. (放在句首)

3、对频度副词提问

对频度副词提问要用How often。

-How often do you exercise?

-Hardly ever.
