China beat Argentina by 3:0 to win the gold medal on September 29th. 2019 at the FIVB Volleyball women’s World Cup. The Chinese Women National Volleyball Team successfully protected its World Cup crown with a perfect record of 11 wins. It is China’s 10the time to win the gold medal in world main volleyball events, including the World Cup, the World Championships and the Olympic Games.

However, the victory didn’t come easily. Chinese Women National Volleyball Team was so diligent that sometimes they even didn’t have time to have meals. They had the longest training time among all the teams in the World Cup. Besides, their coach, Lang Ping, rented(租) a training ground in each competition area to ensure their daily training. On September 15th, the match between the Chinese Women National Volleyball Team went to practice at the rented training ground for a whole afternoon, while American and Russian volleyball teams travelled in Japan after their matches.

After the Chinese Women National Volleyball Team returned home with a great victory at the World Cup in Japan, Chinese President Xi Jinping greeted them at the Great Hall of the People. Xi expressed warm congratulations to the volleyball players and coaches. He said that they had won a great honor for the country and the Chinese people. At the same time, the victory of the Chinese team at the World Cup as well as their spirit greatly encouraged the Chinese people.

On October 1st, 2019, the Chinese Women National Volleyball Team was also invited to take part in the

activities of the 70th National Day celebration, all Chinese people were looking forward to their excellent results at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020.
