1.课程标准四级要求八年级的学生应达到：
在“读”的方面：
1）能连贯、流畅地朗读课文，正确获取阅读篇章中相关细节信息。
2）能从简单的文章中找出有关信息，理解大意。
在“写”的方面：
1）能正确使用标点符号。
2）能在教师的帮助下或以小组讨论的方式起草和修改作文。
2.教材分析
本节课为单元第三课时。主要活动为Section C 的1a和3。
本课通过李医生有关保持健康的报告，让学生清楚日常生活中应该如何保持健康。报告中还指出一些不健康行为的危害并教会学生如何避免这些不健康的行为。通过学习要求学生写一篇如何保持健康的文章，提出自己的建议。
3.学情分析
八年级的学生已经具备基本的快读、细读等能力，学生已经可以用一定的方式阅读并提取并分析相关信息，能在提示中获取文章大意，但仍需要在实际应用中不断强化，最终形成学生的阅读能力。对于初二初的学生来说，当堂形成作文仍有一定的挑战性。
