This is the first period of Topic 3 in Unit 7. In it, Jane and Ben are talking about what their friends did at Kangkang’s birthday party, therefore, review how to talk about the experiences in the past, and master how to describe the birthday party and what the friends did at the party. Then in the first class, the students practice listening to what they did at the party, (Listen and answer/match/fill in the blanks.)

3. Learn to respect each other. Be interested by acting, playing games, etc. love their relatives，friends.

Stage 1 ---- Pre-listening

Step 1 : Warm up and lead in  (4mins)

1. Let a student sing an English song—Do Re Mi, the other students listen. The teacher asks what song you listened to.

2. The teacher Introduces myself in English, let the students listen to me and answer the questions about my instructions.

1 Through students singing English songs, students' interest in English learning is stimulated, and the preparation for the following activities is laid.

2 Teachers' self-introduction can arouse the interest of learners, promote the understanding of teachers and students, and adjust

the classroom atmosphere. New classes are introduced naturally.

Step 2: Pair work (8分钟)

1. .Let students act such as dancing... or watch ppt.The other students guess what they are doing.

Show the following conversation.

S1: What’s he doing?
S2: He’s doing …
S3: What’ she doing?
S4: She’s doing …
S5: What are they doing?
S6: They are doing...

2. Teach the new words.

T: What did he do at Kangkang’s party yesterday?

S:  ...

T: Did he enjoy himself yesterday?

1. Guide students to guess the action vocabulary and target language with the help of student action performances.

2. With the help of the pictures, guide the students to understand the new words, phrases and target language in the context, clear the obstacles for the following listening and pave the way for the following activities. This section provides students with specific situations to practice basic sentence patterns naturally.
