Unit 1  Alice was sitting with her sister by the river.

2、Get to know the main characters(人物) and describe their activities；

3、Tell the story using Past Continuous(过去进行时)；

4、Cultivate the interest of reading.

【课前准备】

Read the new words of M7U1 loudly.

【学习过程】

1. Lead-in

1. Show some pictures of Hangzhou Railway Station at 3pm on Oct.1.

Make some sentences of the picture.

(1)   The man ______ ________ with his phone at that time. (play)

(2)   The boy ______ ________ his ipad at that time. (look at)

(3)   The foreigner _______ _________ at that time. (read)

设计意图：让学生通过观察图片完成句子，运用图片中一系列活动练习过去进行时态,同时引出现在人们读书越来越少，传达出书籍在我们的生活中是很重要的这一观点。

 

2. Talk about Alice

Pair-work: A: What do you think of her?

          B: I think she is …

          A: What was she doing?

          B: She was …

设计意图：引导学生发散思维讨论对主人公Alice的印象，顺便练习过去进行时的句子。
