　　I remember the day that I arrived in the UK.The air was cold and moist (潮湿的) .After the difficulty of finding the way to my apartment,a difficulty known to all foreign students,my life in the UK began.

　　For the first few days,I was excited and made many new friends.However,the excitement and curiousness disappeared after a while.To better integrate(融入)into local life,I joined some sports clubs.The most amazing one was the windsurfing（帆板冲浪)club.

Wave riding on a wind surf is a hard sport to learn.Most Chinese students have never heard of it. It combines(结合) elements(元素)of sailing and surfing.You stand on a 2 to 4 metres long board that is powered by the wind.The more wind that fills the sail,the faster you go.

Bristol is a coastal city .Since most of my classmates showed great interest in windsurfing I decided to give it a try one Sunday afternoon.There was rain and gusts(风)of wind,so the conditions could not be called ideal( 理想的)，However,I had a great time.After falling off and climbing back onto the board many times,I got the hang of it quickly and really enjoyed the rest of my time on the water.
