   Teens today are using social media (社交媒体) more often, they are also becoming addicted(上瘾的). Tik Tok is one of the most popular platforms(平台) . From jokes to cosplay to science, the app has them all. With its continuous scrolling(滚动), music and joy never stops. You could never say that Tik Tok is dull.

 Some researchers wondered what influence such a fun app might have on teens. A research team interviewed 31 teens between the ages of 13 and 18. Nearly all said they had at least one social media account (账户). The study team found that more than 60% of the teens said they usually used TikTok."The main reason is that TikTok is really good at offering content(内容) that is interesting to them, and that they can enjoy with their friends," one researcher said.

   Some teens said that the videos about someone's really cute dog, or food making are really interesting. "When I use it," one teenager explained,"I didn't realize how fast time went. I always remind myself that this was the last one."After playing it, they may feel anxious.

   So how can teenagers avoid the bad influences? They can reduce their screen time. Choose a certain time as their "social media time". They can also put their phones down for a few minutes and enjoy the real world. Take a walk, meet up with friends, and choose to make it a phone-less trip.
