S2U5 First Aid单元写作 Description of injuries ● burns: the boiled water causes injuries to one’s hand/ dry, red and mildly swollen/blisters/watery surface/slightly painful//extremely painful/find oneself in alarming pain 极其疼痛/turn white when pressed ● choking: be choking on some steak/a piece of candy sticks(stuck) in one’s throat and block the windpipe/ hold one’s throat with face turning red（purple）/have trouble breathing ● a heart attack: his heart stopped/fall (fell) to the ground/slip (slipped) and fell on the floor/lie (lay) unconscious/lose consciousness(昏迷)/collapse/faint(晕倒) ● a broken leg/arm: his leg bent a little sideways between the knee and the ankle/ her arm was bleeding/ sprained her ankle/bruised her elbow(擦伤手肘)/her ankle was swollen ● other injuries: check one’s pulse but there is no vital signs First aid treatment ● burns: Place burns under cool running water to stop the burning process and reduce the pain and swelling/Dry the burnt area gently with a clean cloth./Cover the burnt area with a loose clean cloth./ If the victim is suffering from second or third-degree burns, there is an urgent need to take/rush/send him/her to the hospital without delay. ● choking: perform the Heimlich manoeuvre: help sb. to one’s feet/stand behind him/wrap your arms around his waist/make a fist with one hand and place it in the upper part of his stomach/grab your fist with your other hand tightly and push up and into his stomach in one motion/lay the child face down with head lower than his body/give firm slaps to his upper back until the obstruction is forced out ● a heart attack: perform/carry out CPR on sb./breathe into one’s mouth and give chest compression/ perform mouth-to-mouth rescue breathing/pump sb.’s chest with her interlocked fingers and breathe into sb.’s mouth/use AED to restart one’s heart ● a broken leg/arm: use a strong, straight stick to fix his leg/carefully wrap(wrapped) the shirts around Rafi's leg and the stick/apply pressure to his bleeding
