National Day
China National Day, officially the National Day of the People's Republic of China, is annually celebrated on October 1st to commemorate the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949. Chinese people enjoy a 7-day holiday from Oct. 1st to 7th, which is known as Golden Week. There are usually many activities held around the country, especially in Beijing. It is a peak time for Chinese people to travel at home and abroad.
Chinese National Day is celebrated on October 1st every year to commemorate the founding of People’s Republic of China. On that day, lots of large-scaled activities are held nationwide. The 7-day holiday from Oct. 1st to 7th is called 'Golden Week', during which a large number of Chinese people go traveling around the country.

* Note: In 2023, the National Day holiday follows the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, hence forming a prolonged(长期的) holiday of 8 days. The holiday dates are Sep. 29 to Oct. 6th, 2023. People will be on duty on Oct. 7 (Sat) and Oct. 8 (Sun).注:2023年国庆假期紧随中秋节假期,形成8天长假。放假日期为2023年9月29日至10月6日。10月7日(周六)、10月8日(周日)上班。
