They used it to keep unwanted things on the third floor. David loved to crawl(爬) around up there, looking through all the things. It gave him ideas for even more stories to tell!
David, the dreamer, grew up and became a teacher. He didn't stop dreaming, though. One day his three-year-old nephew visited him. He asked David a question. That question was followed by another question. And one after another. The boy's questions just kept coming! After he left, David's head was filled with all the questions his nephew had asked. David Adler wrote a story using all those thoughts. He sent it off to a publisher to see if they liked it. They did! His first story was going to become a book! It was called A Little At A Time.
