展示表示国家的图片及单词，引入学习内容。

新课讲授：

Step 1 New words and expression.

China’s flag is red. It has five yellow stars.

        This is a lovely panda.

（5）the Palace Museum

It’s the Palace Museum. It is famous around the world.

通过单词游戏，引出要学习的新知，引起学生的兴趣，然后利用学生的迁移能力，引导学生自读单词，培养学生的思维能力。

课堂导入：

Can you find China on the map?

（呈现教课书图片。）

听录音，学习第一部分内容。

文本内容：

1. A map of China

Mr. Jones: This is a map of China. What do you know about China, Jenny?

Jenny: I know a lot about China. My friends Li Ming and Wang Mei live in China.

Mr. Jones: What language do people speak in China?

Jenny: They speak Chinese.

Mr. Jones: Good! What is the capital city of China, Jenny?

Jenny: Beijing.

Mr. Jones: Yes! Beijing is the capital of China. What countries are east of China? Do you know, Jenny?

Jenny: Yes, I know. Canada and the U.S. are east of China.

2. What else do you know about China?

China’s flag is red. It has five yellow stars.

This is the Palace Museum. It is famous around the world.

This is the Great Wall of China. It has a long history.

This is a lovely panda. Pandas live in China.

通过听录音，跟读录音，分角色朗读，集中学生注意力，提高听读的效果，巩固所学的知识。

Language points:

1. know about了解，其同义短语为learn about。

e.g. I know Tom, but I don’t know about/learn about him. 我知道汤姆，但我不了解他。

    2. What language do people speak in China? 在中国人们讲哪种语言呢?

该句用来询问使用的语言，回答时使用“主语＋speak＋语言类名词.”。

e.g. —What language does Lucy speak?

          露西讲哪种语言?

       —She speaks English. 她讲英语。

3. have a long history 有着悠久的历史

同义短语为：(a country) with a long history。

e.g. China has a long history.＝China is a country with a long history.

   中国有着悠久的历史。

4. They speak Chinese. 他们说汉语。

speak “讲、说”，不及物动词；但是在表示“讲某种语言”时是及物动词。
