S:My favorite subject is... T:Why do you like...? S:Because it’s... Step 2 Work on Grammar Focus 1.Let the students read the sentences in Grammar Focus. 2.Guide the students to understand the usage of “what”,“who”,“why”,“when” and “how”. 3.Ask the students to practice making up dialogs by using the sentence pattern. Step 3 Work on 3a 1.Ask the students to fill in the blanks with “what”,“who” or “why”. 2.Let some pairs read out their conversations.Then check the answers. 3.Let the students read them together. 4.Ask them to practice the dialogs.Invite some pairs to act them out. Step 4 Work on 3b 1.Make the students work in groups to talk about the questions for these answers. 2.Choose one student from each group to speak the questions out.Then correct the answers. 3.Let some pairs practice the conversations in front of the class.
