Teaching Procedures I Warming up and Revision 1.Lead-in (1)Daily greetings. (2)Revision. Check the words about animals,such as nationality, descriptive words and so on. Ⅱ.Presentation Listening (Activity 1b 1c) Work on 1b: 1.T:Now I will play a recording of a conversation between Tony and Maria.You must listen to it carefully and circle the description words you hear. 2.Play the recording again for the students to check the answers. Work on 1c: (1)Call students'attention to the three headings:Animal, Maria's Words and Tony's Words to help students to understand what they should do. (2)Now I will play the recording again.This time please write down they say about each animal.Fill in the chart individually. (3)Check the answers and learn the listening material together. III.Consolidation Activity ld 1.Pair work First,lead students to read the sample conversation and know how to talk about animals someone likes and doesn't like. Then we have a chat about this language point. Put students into pairs to chat about animals they like and don't like,and tell the reasons. Give them a few minutes to do it.
