Ask them to answer the questions after listening the song: 1. What did the girl do on her holiday? 2. How did the boy hurt his foot? · Ask Ss to talk freely about their vacations. T can use the prompts: 1. Where did you go on vacation? 2. What did you do on your vacation? 3. Did you have a good time? · Lead in Give Ss some sample conversations about where different people went on their vacations. Ss can have a perception of how to talk about past events using the simple past tense. · Brainstorm Ask Ss to answer the question: Can you say other activities you did on your summer vacation? T can give Ss some inspirations, e.g. visited museums, went to summer camp, went fishing, visited families and went sightseeing. Step 2 Presentation & Practice Pre-listening 1a · Before Ss do this activity, T may want to review vocabulary using the picture. Write on the board: 1. What are the students wearing? 2. What are the students doing now? (Tip: T can do this activity as a class or have Ss do this alone or in pairs first before doing the activity as a class.) · Show Ss the translation of the phrases in 1a.
