You will need: 1.Enough copies of Copymaster 1 for each pair in the class 2. Enough copies of Copymaster 2 for each pair in the class Steps: 1.Revise numbers 11 to 20 with the class before the game. 2.The pupils work in pairs.Give one pupil in each pair Copymaster 1 and the other pupil Copymaster 2. 3.Ask the pupils to cut out the number and animal cards from the copymasters.Remind them to use their scissors carefully. 4.The pupils must keep the cards in separate sets.They shuffle the cards and place them face down on the desk.They take turns to turn over a card from each set and make a sentence using the 'There are' structure,e.g.There are thirteen snakes. 5.Pupils can keep the cards if they make a correct sentence.They have to put the cards back if they can't make a correet sentence. 6.Continue the game until there are no cards left.The pupil with more cards in the pair wins.
