Ability: Ss should know how to express the things happened in the past. In addition, they are supposed to know how to cooperate with others. 3. Emotion: Ss should enjoy the beauty round them and cherish the time they spend together. 二、Important Teaching Points: 1. Vocabulary: museum, fire, fire station, painting 2. Use the past tense to express themselves. 三、Key Teaching Points: Ss are able to use the past tense correctly. 四、Procedure 1. Warm up and revision: Ss play a game to review some verbs and their past tense. 2. Presentation (1) T: I have 2 friends. They went on a trip last Sunday. Do you want to know what they did. (to introduce the new words and phrases.) Show some pictures of the new word and phrases. Ask Ss to read after the T.(3 min ) (2) Give Ss 1 min to finish the 1a part, and try to read the phrases by themselves. 3. Listening. T: Look at this picture. Tony and Jane are talking about their school trips. Let’s have a look. (1) Get familiar with the phrases. Ask Ss to read the phrases for a few times. (2) Listen for the 1st time, and try to get the answers. (3) T walk around the classroom and see if they get the right answers. (4) Listen for the second time with pauses and help Ss understand why we have the answers. (5) Fill in the blanks. Play the recording again and ask Ss to fill in the blanks. (6) Check the answers together. 4. Pair work (1) T: I know you also had a school trip weeks ago. Let’s enjoy some wonderful moments of your school trip.( Show the video of their school trip.) T: Now you will work in pairs. One is an interviewer. The other is an interviewee. Try to make a conversation with the questions on the board. You can choose at least 4 questions.
