教学目标

知识与技能

1. 能听、说、读、写单词及短语：celebrate, decorate, need, paper, under
2. 听、说并能理解、运用句子Christmas is coming! How are we going to celebrate it?
3. 能够理解learn to say 部分的对话的含义，并能在教师创设的情境中扩展对话进行练习。
了解一些西方的节日文化。

过程与方法

1. 积极参与小组合作，共同完成学习任务。
2. 在通过音频、视频、网络学习平台等信息化手段创设的情境中自然习得语言并能对所学习内容进行自主练习和运用.
3. 通过复习旧知识引出新知识，能够注意到知识的内在联系并总结规律，初步掌握知识迁移的学习方法。

学情分析

智力因素

1. 学生基本掌握将来时的用法，但对特殊疑问词How引导的将来时句型用法不熟悉。
2. 大部分学生对圣诞节的习俗有所了解如：日期，饮食等。但不全面。

非智力因素 

1. 学生对图文并茂、集知识性、趣味性、生活化于一体的现代化教学资源非常感兴趣。
2. 学生的语言模仿能力强，具有好奇、好胜、爱玩、善演的特点。

重点难点

1. 本课的重点是Learn to say 的课文及Try to use 部分的单词和句子，要求学生在教师创设的情境中逐步达到听、说、读、写的水平，并能够在交谈中灵活运用。引导学生在理解对话的基础上，跟读并表演对话。
2. 本课的难点是帮助学生学会为庆祝节日而制定一个计划。

教学过程

【导入】Lead－in

T: Hello, boys and girls!

Ss: Hello, Kitty!

T：Are you happy today?

Ss: I’m happy too.

T: What’s the date today?

Ss: It’s December 19th.

T: Oh,(look at the calendar) December 25th. Christmas is coming! Listen, here comes the music!

(Play the video clip!)

Sing the song and find out the things about Christmas.

    T: Can you list the things about Christmas?

    Ss: Christmas tree, Santa Claus...

T: Let’s have a look. (Show the pictures and read the words about Christmas.)

T: Let’s draw a picture on the blackboard. (Draw a Christmas tree on the blackboard.) Today I’m the Santa Claus. Please try your best to get the gifts. Group One, your gift is the balloon (try to get the balloons.) Group Two, your gift is the star. Group Three, gift box is your gift, maybe you have to open it.

T: Christmas is coming! How are we going to celebrate it?

Ss: We’re going to... Yes, we should make a Christmas tree and decorate it.

【设计意图】通过现代化信息技术和资源，向学生展示有关圣诞节的歌曲和图片唤起学生对圣诞节所学词汇和知识的记忆，并顺理成章的引出新知。这一环节不仅能培养学生对话题的兴趣，创设浓厚轻松的学习氛围，并能让学生们对即将学习的内容有所准备，将学生带入学习情境之中。同时教师用符合教学情境的简笔画向学生展示小组合作与竞赛机制，不仅贴近主题，更巧妙的吸引了学生的注意力。

 

【讲授】Presentation　and　Practice

Activity 1 Ask and answer

T：So many good ideas! Linda Lin Ming and Billy are going to celebrate it too! Let’s listen and find out： How are they going to celebrate it? （Listen to the tape and answer the question.）

Question1:

How are they going to celebrate it? They are going to have a party

Learn the word: celebrate

T: Can you guess the meaning of celebrate? .

T: Yes “庆祝”.

 Read after me “celebrate”. Read it one by one.（Read after the tape and try to find the answer）

Question 2:

What should they do first?

They should decorate their classroom first.

Learn the word: decorate

Decorate our classroom; decorate the Christmas tree (point to the Christmas tree on the blackboard). Read “decorate” group by group.

T: Can you find out the same point of the two words: celebrate and decorate.

Ss: ate.

T: The word with “ate” is a verb. Try to memorize it.

Question 3:

What do they need to buy? They need to buy some balloons, colored paper, a Christmas tree and 

some gifts.

Learn the word: need/paper

T: Read after me “need”. I need your help. The next word: paper, colored paper (show the colored paper). a piece of paper (show a piece of paper )

Question 4:

Where should they put the gifts? They should put the gifts under the tree.

Learn the word: under

T: Put the gift under the tree. (Do the action), show me your pen. Put it under your book, under the desk, under the chair.
