Topic Talk is just like the door to the unit. It plays an important role in the unit. Its topic is the relationship between humans and nature. It will mainly solve two questions--What is green living?&What can you do to promote green living? It consists of two listening parts and the part, “Quote...Unquote”. I will design this lesson with the combination of listening and speaking. I will adjust the order of listening materials in this lesson and divide the first listening material into 3 parts and adjust their order too. Generally speaking, most listening parts serve as leading--in in different parts, so speaking is more emphasized in this class. Analysis of students They have previewed the topic talk Usually, most of them are eager to share their opinions with others. They are capable of listening for the key information but sometimes not. They can express themselves in simple oral English, but they have different English levels. They have fragmented knowledge about green living but they can’t organize and use them in authentic situations systematically.
