To talk or write about things that happen all the time or a number of times, we can use verbs in the simple present tense. For example:
She gets up at six o’clock every morning.
We play basketball on Mondays and Thursdays.
They often discuss business at dinner.

Yes, I am. No, I am not/’m not.
you/we/they are. you/we/they are not/aren’t.
he/she/it is. he/she/it is not/isn’t.
We also use these forms when we write to friends or when we speak.
