Can 的用法 ① 能 I can speak English ②可能 she can’t be serious . 一般用于否定句和疑问句中间 ③允许can I come in ? ④can 表示惊异，怀疑、不相信等态度。 例如 How can you be so careless！ This can’t be true . May 的用法 ①询问某件事情可不可做 May I come in ? ②表示一种可能性的判断 He may engaged now . ③目的或者让步状语从句中构成谓语 Write to him at once so that he may know in time . Come what may ,we will always stand together . ④表示祝福 May you happy ！ Must 的用法 ① 必须 we must do everything carefully. 不必 needn’t . Must I go to school now ? No you needn’t. ②判断 This must be your room . ③ 偏偏 The car must break down just when we were about to leave . Just as I was getting better ,what must I do but break my leg ? Could Could 有时表示比较委婉客气地提出问题或陈述看法，不是can 的过去式。 Could I see your licence ? Could you please tell me the way to the WC? Might 用might 代替may 表示可以做的事，或者是可能发生的事，语气更客气，委婉些。 Might I ask for a photo of your baby ? Might as well 的用法 表示还是-----样的好 I have got a cold ,I might as well stay at home tonight . 情态动词+have +过去分词 Must have done Can /may have done Can’t have done 表示对已经发生过的事情的一种判断。 It must have begun already . Jane walked past me without speaking ,she can’t have seen me . We’ve sold out the tickets. We’ve 是we have 的缩写 Sell –sold –sold We have sold out all tickets . 你能变成被动语态的形式吗？ All the tickets have been sold out . 卖光某物我们还可以表达为 be sold out of sth We are sold out of all the books . 卖得好 sell well /badly Seller /buyer [n]sale for sale 待售 A house for sale On sale 廉价出售 They sell eggs on sale
