一、教学目标
(一)语言知识
1.能够初步运用语句: “How long is it?”“It’s more than … long.”谈论一个景点。
2.全体学生能够理解词汇:more than, thousand, kilometre, something, million;部分学生能够运用词汇:more than, thousand, kilometre, something, million。
3.能感知单词重音和句子重读。
(二)学习能力
1.80%学生能听懂“How long is it?”“It’s more than twenty thousand kilometres long.”80%学生能说:“How long is it?”“It’s more than twenty thousand kilometres long.”
2.能积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流;对所学内容能主动复习和归纳。
(3) 思维能力
通过两人对话的方式,借助图片在情境中正确运用:
Tell me more about…. .How long…?
It’s more than… thousand kilometres long.
How big…? It has got … million people.谈论景点的特征。
(4) 文化品格
培养学生在各种任务中积极与他人合作的良好学习习惯,通过对家乡和祖国的介绍,培养学生热爱家乡和祖国的情感。在学习活动中充分发扬团队精神。

2.能用所学语句简单描述一个景点和一座城市的基本信息。
难点
1.准确使用“It’s more than…long.”和“It has got more than…people.”两种结构描述物品长度和城市的人口数量。
2. thousand和million用于数字的表达法。
