Procedure: Warm-up: 1. Begin the lesson by asking students if they have ever been bitten by an animal. 2. Encourage students to share their experiences with the class. Introduction to the past continuous tense : 1) Write the sentence “I was trying to pick it up when it bit me again” on the board. 2) Ask students to identify the verb tense used in the sentence. 3) Explain that this sentence is in the past continuous tense, which is used to describe ongoing actions in the past. 4) Provide examples of other sentences in the past continuous tense.
