It’s a/an … -Spell it, please. 【教学过程】 Step 1. Dictation The students have a dictation of what they learned before, including key words and sentences in this unit. Step 2. Review The students in pairs describe any objects using given dialogues like “What’s this in English? It is a cup. Spell it, please. C-U-P.” The students are required to pronounce certain words with “a, e, i, o, u” correctly. Step 3. Listening Have students read the words first, and find the different pronunciation in each pair. Listen and circle the words and then check the answers. In this way, students have more time to think about the pronunciation of the vowel letters “a, e, i, o, u” in different ways. Step 4. Talking In the conversation, remind students to use “this” and “that” correctly when asking a question. Step 5. Writing First have the students complete the conversation. Then copy the sentences on blackboard. The teacher should show how to copy a sentence correctly. Step 6.
