★语法点拨
一、一般过去时的用法
一般过去时表示在过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态,常与表示过去的时间状语连用,如 yesterday(昨天), last weekend(上周末), an hour ago(一小时前), long long ago (很久以前)等,其谓语动词须用过去式。如:
My friends played football in the playground yesterday.
昨天我的朋友在操场上踢足球了。
二、 be 动词和规则动词过去式的构成
(1) be 动词
am/is 对应的过去式为 was; are 对应的过去式为 were。
(2)规则变化的行为动词
行为动词的过去式一般是在词尾加-ed,其具体构成形式如下:
a.一般情况,动词词尾后直接加-ed,如: walk- walked。
b.以不发音的 e 结尾的动词直接加-d,如: like-liked。
c.以辅音字母加 y 结尾的动词,先变 y 为 i 再加-ed,如: try-tried。
d.末尾只有一个辅音字母的重读团音节,先双写这个辅音字母,再加-ed,如:stop-stopped。
