Unit 3 Diverse Culture --“省略”的用法及练习 Learning Objectives Strengthen the understanding of grammar by reviewing sentence structure. Understand the use of ellipsis by learning structure. Be able to use ellipsis correctly in the appropriate context. I can’t wait to go there 一、基本概念 在英语中，为了防止重复，有很多句子会用省略，既可以让句子简洁明了，还可以让句子逻辑性更强。因此，在分析文章句子时，很多的句子采用了省略用法。 二、语法规则 (一)常见句的省略用法 1.省略主语 (1)祈使句中的主语 Open the window, please. 请开一下窗户。 (2)在习惯说法中的主语省略 Thank you for your invitation to the party. 感谢你邀请我去你家参加派对。 (You) (I) 2.省略谓语 The valley is deep and mountain high. 峡谷很深，山很高。 3.省略宾语 Let’s wash the clothes. I'll wash and you'll dry. 让我们洗衣服吧，我来洗，你来晾干 (the clothes) (the clothes) (is) 4.省略主语和谓语，留下表语，宾语等成分 Have a tea? 喝杯茶吗？ 5.省略表语部分 -Are you hungry?你饿了吗? -Yes, I am.是的,我饿了。 (Will you) (hungry) 6.There be句型的省略 No talking.禁止交谈。 7.感叹句的省略 What nice weather!多么好的天气啊!
