Show some pictures to Ss and ask which family they like best and the reasons. 2. Ask Ss to answer these questions. (3 minutes) (1) Do you have any brothers or sisters? (2) Can you get on well with your family? (3) Who do you ask for help when you have problems? Step 3 Pre-reading Show the picture in 3a and ask Ss to predict some information.(2 minutes) 1. What’s the problem with them? T: They argue with each other. 2. How do you feel when they argue? T: Sad, nervous, terrible, upset... Step 4 While-reading Fast reading Read the letters quickly and discuss these questions.(2 minutes) 1. How many letters are there? 2. Who has problems? 3. Who gives advice? Careful reading I.
