Across the wide yard at the bottom of the hill ran a small river, and the bigger boys and some of the funloving dads liked to see if they could get enough speed to make it all the way to the river bank. I have winter memories of many young men, along with my dad ending up in the river, sled and all. Most of the kids liked to see what kind of tricks they could play. Part of the fun was watching the mishaps (灾祸). One snowy day in 2013, when my sister Bonnie and I were 14 and 13 years old, we had each taken turns going down the hill while standing on the sled. You had to hold the rope so it wouldn't get caught in the runners, but you couldn't really control it, and there was no way to brake (刹车). Bonnie and I got a little proud with our success and decided to try sledding together. She stood in front and held the rope, and I stepped on behind her and rocked the sled a little to get it moving down the hill. About halfway down, we hit a dry spot, the sled stopped dead and Bonnie went flat down on her face in front of it. Without thinking, I started to run to try to stay upright. I ended up running right up Bonnie's back, with one foot landing on the back of her head, pushing her face even deeper into the snow before I landed face down in front of her. Neither of us was hurt, but she was angry! She must have thought that I had some control over my feet and that I stepped on her on purpose. I guess that day it was everybody else's turn to enjoy seeing the Hyre girls' mishap! 【语篇解读】本文是一篇记叙文。在作者的家乡，乘雪橇滑雪是一项非常受人们喜爱的运动。本文作者回忆了自己和姐姐一起乘雪橇滑雪时发生的一次小事故。 1.
