The reading text is an interview and the topic of the passage is about the a conversation between Pausanias and volunteer Li Yan, during which Pausanias obtained relevant information about the modern Summer Olympics. After learning this lesson, students can be more familiar with the similarities and differences between ancient and modern Olympic Games. Reading is mainly to guide students to understand the content of the article and find the details of the article. It aims to cultivate students' ability to find information, summarize the article and the ability of language application. According to the textbook activities, comprehension exercises are mostly used, but the output task has little. Therefore, discussions were added to allow students to train their thinking skills while understanding the content of the text. 2. Analysis of students According to the English course grading target system, students in grade one should reach the sixth level.
