It aims to let Ss know the expressions of introducing family members, so many activities are organized in the class. By practicing the sentence patterns again and again, Ss can remember them easily and use them correctly. Part 2 Analysis of the Teaching Materials This lesson is a listening and speaking part from Section A 1a-1c Unit 2 Book 1. Before the class, students have learned how to introduce themselves, so it’s easy for them to learn this lesson — how to introduce people. And the topic of this unit is about the family. It is related to their daily life. So it’s easy to arouse students’ learning interests. This section is the first part of this unit. The main words are “mother, Father, grandmother, grandfather, sister, brother, these, those” and the sentence patterns are “She is my…, These are my…,Those are my…”, so if the students can learn them well, it will be helpful to make the students learn the rest of this unit. Part 3 Analysis of the Students As freshmen in junior high, the students have learnt English for several years, but most of them know little English. So I will teach them English little by little and encourage them to speak more. The students at this age are curious, creative and active, full of enthusiasm and eager to show themselves.
