《The Story of Florence Nightingale》 说课稿 Good morning, dear judges: It’s a pleasure for me to stand here and I’m very pleased to share my teaching design with you. The content of my lesson is Unit 12《The Story of Florence Nightingale》. I have decided to say my lesson from four parts: teaching analysis, teaching design, teaching process and teaching reflections. Part One----Teaching Analysis This lesson is from English for Vocational School Basic Module II Unit 12 Dedicated People. The lesson is concerned about dedicated people. I deal with the second period: reading comprehension. It plays an important role in improving students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities. Grade 2, preschool girls are my teaching objects. They have poor vocabulary and limited abilities, but they are outgoing and lively, they desire success and want to express themselves. Based on the curriculum standard and the student-centered approach, I set three aims in the lesson. Knowledge aim: students are able to read, recognize and use key words and phrases. Ability aim: improve students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Emotional aim: cultivate patriotic, dedicated, friendly values and foster their brave characters. According to the syllabus(教学大纲) and students’ characteristics, the important points are 5 key words and 4 phrases. The difficult points are to improve students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. To achieve the aims mentioned above, I choose task-based teaching method, multi-teaching method to break important points; I use whole-reading method and layer teaching method to capture difficult points. Students can learn the text through objective learning, individual learning and group learning. In order to make every student transfer from passive learning to active learning, I set different tasks for students to do by themselves or in groups.
