Unit 8 Green Earth Emphatic Sentence （强调句） Part A 单元语法教学 一、 强调句的定义： 强调句(emphatic sentence)： 是一种修辞，是人们为了表达自己的意愿或情感而使用的一种形式。通过各种方式对句子中的某个部分进行强调，从而起到修辞的作用。 二、 强调句的基本结构： It is / was + 被强调部分(主语、宾语或状语) + who / that + 原句其他部分。 一般说来, 当被强调部分指人时，可用that / who；指物或既有人又有物时只用that. 三、 强调句的三种句式： 1. 强调句的陈述句式： It is / was + 被强调部分 + that / who + 原句其他部分。 原句: I met him in the market yesterday. 强调主语: It was I who / that met him in the market yesterday. 强调宾语: It was him who / that I met in the market yesterday. 强调地点状语: It was in the market that I met him yesterday. 强调时间状语: It was yesterday that I met him in the market. 2. 强调句的一般疑问句式： Is / Was it + 被强调部分 + that / who + 原句其他部分(用陈述句语序)？ 原句: Did he see you in the office just now? 强调主语: Was it he who / that saw you in the office just now? 强调宾语: Was it you who / that he saw in the office just now? 强调地点状语: Was it in the office that he saw you just now? 强调时间状语: Was it just now that he saw you in the office? 3. 强调句的特殊疑问句式： 特殊疑问词(即：被强调部分，常为who, when, where, how, why ) + is / was + it + that + 原句其他部分(用陈述句语序)？ ① 原句: Who will have a meeting in the hall tomorrow? 强调who: Who is it that will have a meeting in the hall tomorrow? 1. 特别注意：强调who时，引导词用that，不能用who. ② 原句: When will they have a meeting in the hall? 强调when: When is it that they will have a meeting in the hall? ③ 原句: Where did Jim meet his good friend last night? 强调where: Where was it that Jim met his good friend last night? ④ 原句: Why did he come late? 强调Why: Why was it that he came late? 四、 not...until...句型的强调句 It is / was not until + 从句 / 表时间的词 + that + 原句其他部分（用肯定句语序）。 1. 原句: He didn't go to bed until his wife came back. 强调句: It was not until his wife came back that he went to bed. 2. 原句： We didn’t begin to have supper until Father came back. 强调句: It was not until Father came back that we began to have supper. 3. 原句： I won’t leave until you give me my money. 强调句: It is not until you give
