He famously developed the theory of general relativity which is one of the two pillars of modern physics. Most people know him for his equation E＝mc2, although most people don't understand what it actually means. Turing is considered the father of theoretical computer science, and artificial intelligence. Turing invented a machine that could crack a German code, which was supposed to be impossible to track.
