Title Module 1 Unit1 Go straight on. Period Activity 2 Analysis on Learners The objectives of this lesson are students in Grade 4. Students in this phase has already learned some simple words and phrases about place, thus they must have mastered some skills of asking the ways. However, they don’t know how to answer and express the directions. Therefore, it requires teachers to set up the tasks from easy to the advanced to guide them. Teaching Objectives 1. Knowledge Objectives: (1) Students can master the usage of new words and expressions about directions:lost, turn left, turn right, go straight on. (2) Students can understand and use the new sentence patterns to show someone the way: -- Turn left./ Go straight on. /Turn right (3) Students are able to use the phrases to help others to direct the way. 2. Ability Objectives: (1) Students are able to use the word “lost” to express correctly. (2) Students can use the phrases about directions to show somebody the way. 3. Emotion Objectives: (1) Every student can help others in trouble proactively. (2) Students can enjoy speaking and using English to talk to others. Key &Difficult Points 1. Key points: (1) Mastering of the new words about directions. (2) Mastering of the expressions how to answer the way to somewhere. 2. Difficult points: (1) Master the word “straight”. (Justification: Through a song, students’ interest will be aroused and it can help students to focus on the topic of this lesson.Meanwhile, lead in the new topic.) Step 2:Presentation(3mins) 1. Show the new words about directions. (1) The teacher shows all words from the song on the PPT and asks students to find the new words.
