Students will be able to use the key vocabulary in context and understand the meaning of “watching TV”. 2. Students will be able to use the present continuous tense to talk about watching TV. 3. Students will be able to practice their listening skills by listening to a conversation between two people talking about watching TV. Teaching materials: 1. Whiteboard and markers. 2. TV in classroom (optional). Introduction (5 minutes): Ask students if they watch TV and what kind of programs they like to watch. Show them a picture of a TV and write the key vocabulary on the board: watch TV, TV channel, TV program, turn on/off the TV. Ask students to repeat after you. Instruction (10 minutes): Teach the present continuous tense by having students practice saying “I am watching TV” or “She is watching TV” using the key vocabulary from the previous section. Write these sentences on the board and have students repeat after you. Encourage students to use this tense when they talk about themselves or others watching TV in the future or at the moment. For example: - I am watching TV now. - She is watching TV with her friends tonight. - They will be watching TV all weekend. - We were watching TV when the power went out. Guided Practice (10 minutes): Show a clip of someone watching TV and ask students to follow along with the dialogue.
