1. Greeting.
2. Free talk: Do you have a pet animal? Is it big or small?
师生打招呼,口语对话引入本课内容。
Presentation
1. Quick review: Show some pictures and word cards quickly to help ss review the words they have learned.
2. Listen and choose: Teacher prepares some toy pets in advance. Ss listen and help teacher choose the correct one in the bag.
T: I have a cat. It’s brown. It’s big.
通过图片和单词卡片帮助学生快速复习。通过教师描述,学生找的游戏充分调动学生的参与度。
Practice
1. Guess and say.
Show part of the body of one animal. Ss guess the name of the animal and introduce it.
T: What’s this? Ss: A hamster. T: Can you introduce it?
2. Show and tell
Ss work in groups. Show their toys pets and introduce them to their classmates. Select some ss to be on behalf of their groups. Come to the front to introduce their toys.
