Unit 16 Means of Transport Lesson 16 教学设计 Teaching Plan Teaching content Interest is the best teacher. A good teacher must teach how to study well by pupils themselves, but not knowledge. I will make full use of a variety of ways to attract students' interest, such as playing a game, having a chant, having guessing game and so on. These ways are helpful to stimulate students' interest and cultivate their confidence in learning English. I will create an authentic situation and I'll try my best to encourage them say more. The analysis of the student The topic of the unit is about transport. Around this topic, the teacher creates an authentic situation. The students are from Grade 1,they have learned English for one term. They know a little about English. So it is important for students to cultivate their confidence in learning English. Teaching aims 1. Ss can speak and read the following words: bus\bike\car\taxi\zoo. 2. Ss can listen and understand “What's that? It's a ...”“How do we go to the zoo?” “We take a taxi to the zoo”. 3. Ss can speak the way to the zoo in English. 4. Ss can cooperate and communicate with others in group work. Teaching important points 1.Ss can speak、read and write the words :taxi and zoo. 2.Ss can ask and answer “What's that? It's a ...”“How do we go to the zoo?” “We take a taxi to the zoo”. Teaching difficult points 1.Ss may have difficulties in understanding the word with “that” and “this” in the scenario. 2..Ss may have difficulties in understanding the same sentences with “take a 交通工具to the+ place” and “go to +place by交通工具”.
