Module 8 Accidents Unit 1 While the lights were changing to red, a car suddenly appeared. 教学目标 Knowledge: 1. Read and use the words and expressions: pale, appear, round, corner, hit, glad, risk, side, in time, fall off, pay attention, side by side 2. Make sentences with ”when” and “while” to talk about things that happened at the same time. Ability: 1. Talk about the accidents they have seen. 2. Give and accept advice about how to avoid traffic accidents. Emotion and attitude:  1. To help students know the importance of traffic rules. 2. Improve their sense of duty to follow the traffic rules. 2学情分析 本课的教学对象是大港五中八年5班的学生,本班学生课上大都能够认真听讲、记笔记,课后按老师要求完成课内外各项练习。在六七年级保持浓厚的英语学习兴趣的基础上,又养成了相对稳定的学习习惯。因此,虽然本课话题“accidents”是个新话题(在之前的英语学习中没接触过),在词汇和语法学习上都有一定的难度,学生仍然能够凭借过硬的英语基本功,积极参与、努力理解和尝试应用,以达到学习基本词汇知识和掌握新的语法结构的目的。     本模块以对意外事故的描写为主线,使用过去进行时和时间状语从句,对自身所听到见到的事情进行描述。在学习过程中,学生不仅能够通过运用过去进行时和时间状语从句更准确有效的描述所发生的事情,而且意识到遵守交通规则、冷静处理突发时间的重要性,从而提高他们的安全防范意识。 3重点难点 1.Review the grammar knowledge of the past continuous tense. 2.Understand the “when” and “while” sentences in the dialogue and try to make their own sentences with them. 3.
