Students are familiar with this topic, so with enough authentic input as well as controlled activities on the target language, students should be able to write a passage about sports games. 3重点难点 To help students understand adverbs and comparative adjectives and correctly use them in writing. To use the following words and expressions properly: usual, beat, final, careless, train, coach, play against, warm up, fan club, cheer…on, have a good chance of… To learn to write about a sports match and use target language in real situations. 4教学过程 4.1 第一学时 4.1.1教学活动 活动1【导入】Lead－in To familiarize students with new words and expressions on the topic of sports. Teacher: 1. Ask students to brainstorm words about football match. 2. Ask students to talk about the pictures about football. 3. Have students think about how to win a game. Students: 1. List as many words about football match as possible. 2. Try to answer the questions with new expressions. 3. Answer the question. 活动2【讲授】Reading To develop students’ reading skill of identifying general and detailed information. To help students have a better understanding of the text.
