This article introduces the reason, time, place, purpose, method and significance of people celebrating festivals. Students learn about the origin, current situation and causes of different festivals around the world, and understand the causes of festivals and celebrations and some changes of festivals. This article describes the origin and celebration of festivals in three countries or regions in the world.
The article has five paragraphs in total.The first paragraph introduces that festivals are common cultural phenomenon in the world. In the second paragraph, almost every culture can see the Harvest Festival; The third paragraph talks about the progress of human civilization. The festival are changing now, and the fourth paragraph mainly focuses on the gradual commercialization of festivals and celebrations. The fifth paragraph summarizes that festivals are an integral part of human society.
This article guides readers from the phenomenon of festival culture to its changes in the whole festival history, and inspires students to critically think about the core of festivals and celebrations. The article explains why some traditions in old celebrations are disappearing, such as setting off firecrackers in big cities to prevent air pollution, while some new things are emerging, such as the happiness brought by festive atmosphere and the commercial development promoted by festivals.
