1. Translate the listening material and lead the students to read it for several times;
2. Explain the important and difficult points to the class.
3. Language points
(1) There will be ( more/ less/ fewer ) pollution.
pollution /pə'luːʃn/ n. 污染;污染物
e.g. The villagers had to move away because of the serious water pollution.
因为严重的水污染,村民们不得不搬走。
We should plant more trees to reduce pollution.
我们应该种植更多的树来减少污染。
pollution 的常用搭配:
① air pollution 空气污染
② water pollution 水污染
③ noise pollution 噪音污染
拓展:pollute 作动词,意为“污染”,其过去式为polluted。polluted 也可作形容词,意为“受污染的”。
e.g. Waste gases polluted the air, and the polluted air is bad for our health.
废气污染了空气,受到污染的空气对我们的健康是有害的。
(2) What’s your prediction about the future?
future /'fjuːtʃə(r)/ n. 将来;未来
e.g. What do you want to be in the future?
将来你想做什么工作?
I asked her to be more careful in future.
我让她今后更小心点。
拓展:future 还可作形容词,意为“将来的;未来的”。
e.g. Please tell us your future plan. 请告诉我们你的未来计划。

1. Students practice the conversation and role-play;
