1、 导入
Look at the picture in 2d and have a prediction about what they are talking about.
2、 目标
1. Learn some new words and expressions, such as: so far, fresh etc.
2. Students read the conversation and role-play;
3. Students will improve listening and speaking abilities.

1. Students listen to the conversation and check their predictions.
2. Students listen again and answer the following questions:
(1) What is Greg’s problem?
He doesn’t really know his way around.
(2) What does Helen tell him about the town?
The best supermarket and the newest cinema.
3.Students read the conversation and try to translate, underline the words or phrases they don’t understand.

1. Translate the conversation and lead the students to read it for several times;
2. Explain the important and difficult points to the class.
3. Language points
(1) How do you like it so far?
so far 到目前为止;迄今为止
e.g. So far, I have seen the movie three times.
到目前为止,这部电影我看了三遍了。
so far相当于until now,可以放在句首(用逗号和后面的句子隔开),也可以放在句尾。

(2) You can buy the freshest food there.
fresh /freʃ/ adj. 新鲜的;清新的
fresh 作形容词,意为“新鲜的”,常用来描述食物、水果等。fresh还可以表示“清新的”,常用来描述空气、气味等。
e.g. Eating more fresh fruit is good for our health.
多吃新鲜水果对我们的健康有好处。
Fresh air can make you keep your head clear.
清新的空气能使你保持清醒的头脑。
