Before he was ill, Tom went to this park every week with his mother. Tom’s dream is to walk in this park again. Steven: I’m a volunteer with "Save the Children" because I like helping children. Each year in Hong Kong, around 4,000 children lose a parent through an accident or an illness. I remember going with my mother, who is also a volunteer, to meet these children. We played games with them, and my mother helped them to tell stories. The children enjoyed telling stories. I think it helped them to express their feelings. Two thirds of the children said that their friends didn’t understand them. We talked to a girl called Helen. Her father died in a car accident last year. I felt sad when listening to her. My mother will continue to visit Helen. Cathy: I love dancing, so I want to help children with physical disabilities. These children can’t walk or move very well. We teach them to move better. They prefer dancing to pop music! I met a boy there called Ben. He can’t walk because he lost his legs in an accident. Ben hopes to walk again one day. There are over 3,000 children and teenagers in Hong Kong with physical disabilities. About 2,000 of them are under 13 years old. We should do more to help these children.
