中考复习——形容词 用法:用来说明或修饰名词、代词的词称为形容词,在句子中作名词的定语、句子的表语以及宾语补足语。 比较级与最高级 1. 形容词比较级的构成 (1)形容词比较级的规则变化: 构成方法 原级 比较级 最高级 单音节词和少数双音节词 一般在词尾加-er或est long tall longer taller longest tallest 以字母-e结尾的词,加-r或-st large nice larger nicer largest nicest 以“辅音字母+y”结尾的词, 变y为i,再加-er或-est busy heavy funny early busier heavier funnier earlier busiest heaviest funniest earliest 重读闭音节词只有一个辅音字母结尾时,先双写辅音字母,再加-er或-est big hot fat bigger hotter fatter biggest hottest fattest 多音节词和部分双音节词 在原级前加more或most useful beautiful slowly more useful more beautiful more slowly most useful most beautiful most slowly (2)形容词比较级的不规则变化: 原级 比较级 最高级 good better best bad/ill worse worst little less least many/much more most far farther/further farthest/furthest old older/elder oldest/eldest 2. 形容词、副词比较级的用法 (1)比较级常用于“比较级+than”结构,表示“两者比较;一方超过另一方”。 Tom is taller than me. (2)要注意冠词的使用。形容词后有名词时,前面才有可能有冠词。 Which is the larger country, Canada or China? (3)形容词与副词的比较级可以用much,even, a little,far等来修饰。例如: much bigger, a little earlier, far more dangerous等。当句中限定一个范围时常用最高级。 He is the shortest in his class. (4)两个比较级用and连接,表示“越来越...”的含义。例如: colder and colder, higher and higher等。两个音节以上的形容词与副词若表达以上含义,用两个more来修饰,例如more and more beautiful, more and more dangerous。 (5)注意表达“越……,越……”的特殊句式,前后都用比较级,the不可省略。 The more careful you are, the fewer mistakes you will make. 3. 最高级的构成及用法 (1)结构为: the+形容词/副词最高级+其他+of/in/ among+比较范围。 The Yellow River is the second longest river in China. (2)词组 one of (其中之一)后加the加最高级,表示“最…的之一”。 one of the largest cities, one of the most famous scientists (3)序数词后加最高级,表示“第几…的”。 the second biggest island, the third longest river 【举一反三】 1.
