I have heard… I have learnt… Teaching procedures Step1.Lead-in Let the students to enjoy a song .(Rhythm of Rain).Ask their feelings about the song. And play a picture about Lu Han. Ask the facts about him. Lead in the new class. Step2.Learn the new words. Show some pictures about some singers. Lead them to learn the new words(pop, rock, band) And add some other words(country music, jazz music, folk music) Step3.Enjoy the different kinds of music. These music is about pop music, rock music, folk music and jazz music. Ask the students to feel the music and love music. Step4.1a Show some pictures about the singers or musicians. “Have you heard of them?” Ask the students to talk about them and their songs. Step5.1b. Show a picture and a song about “the Toms”. Ask them to learn about the band. And play the record .After listening to it, ask them to write A for Alex or D for Dave next to each opinion. And check the answers. Step6.1c Play the record again . After listening , ask them to complete the chart. And check the answers. Step7.Play a game The teacher asks the students , “Have you learnt any songs? Can you sing the songs? Please try singing it?” Ask several students to sing some songs. Step8.Group work Ask your friends and parents what kind of music they listen to and why. How does the music make them feel? Complete the chart. Step9.Exercise Step10.Summary Give the students some time to think it over. Ask them to summarize this class. After it ,Ask them to read the key words and sentences.
