During class: Step 1　Warming up Let ss talk about the topic freely. Step 2　Pre-reading Read and discuss. Why do you know about the person/place/things in the picture? Step 3 While-reading 1. Read and choose. （1）scan the text and choose the key points of each sentences. Work in a group and try to talk about the silk road. 2. Read and complete. （1）read the passage again and finish the blanks. *（3）make a mind map and make a conclusion about the structure of the text. 3. Read and decide. （1）read the text again and choose which one is correct. Then the teacher check the answers. Step 4 Post-reading 1.
